Update Last time I had to rate this app with just 1* because it crashed at every startup. Right now its working properly. The idea is really great and the questions/areas are well structured. Practicing in Germany Arabic and Turkish language would be useful but I understand that implementing those requires hard work and lots of money. Russian is good for the start as well. I will try it the next time I encounter language difficulties without an interpreter available.

As a medical student working in a very multicultural country, this app is fantastic. The program layout, questions, visuals and audio are perfect. Thank you for all the time youve put into this. I cant wait for more languages, especially Italian!

Love the concept, but having a difficult time downloading German, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Works great if you need to use French and Spanish. If anyone has tips to help me download the languages I need, let me know. Yes, I did try tech support, no reply yet.

I am a medical student in my clerkship in Canada. I originally downloaded this app because it looked like a fun little tool that was more novel than anything. I originally liked it because I actually learned how to structure a good history in my pre-clinical years based on how this app was formatted. Well, last night on call I got a call about an odd case with a gentleman whom spoke only Russian and seemed to be complaining of shoulder pain. No one really knew what to do but I was asked to provide an order for some pain meds. I decided to go see him and give this app a try while I was at it. Turns out, he had a retrosternal pressure with radiating pain to the right shoulder. After the full work-up, we were able to diagnose him with an NSTEMI and send him to CCU that night for treatment. Im not sure if the creators of this app will see this, but I want to send a genuine thank you. I actually never thought this app would be too useful, but I am now a complete believer! I never write comments online but I feel that this has to be said. Thank you very much!!!

This WAS one of the best apps Ive used. But somehow it stopped loading onto my I touch. Please fix!

The app worked well, now the only language that works is English and Spanish. Cantonese for some reason cant be downloaded.

This is a great tool. Many of my clients speak broken English. With this application it is so much easier to go through medical history with my clients. It makes my practice much safer. It has TONS of questions, most of which I will probably never have to use, but what a great tool to have at my finger tips!

I believe this app is one of the better medical translation tools I have seen. It is very comprehensive in regards to H&P, meds, and general medical questions. My only issue is with the relatively limited amount of material for psychiatric illness. I work on an acute psych unit where many patients are non-English speaking. It would be helpful to add questions for SI, HI, A/VH, and substance abuse. Overall a great app!

The best medical translation app available. Impressively comprehensive and well-organized. Great that it works in multiple languages. A must-have app for any physician who works with non-english speaking patients.

Truly impressive application. After taking a few seconds to familiarize myself with the nuances of its operation, I found that this medical translation device truly was able to facilitate communication in a foreign language within a medical setting. With the aid of this tool I have the ability to instantly communicate with non English speaking patients, effectively diffusing much of the frustration inherent in these situations. The value, and depth of content of this application certainly warrants a fee to download, Im very surprised it has been released as a free application.

Download it and after the start it crashes directly! ;(

I never bothered to buy one of the more expensive single-language apps, so I cant compare directly, but this app has a tremendous amount of content and it is very easy to navigate! Its already saved me several hours at work, and my patients have responded very positively. Excellent app

I have several Medical Spanish apps and this does rank amongst the best and it is free (they do accept donations). The organization is excellent as are the translations and voice. There is an occasional problem, one example is when asking the patient to say "no" in spanish the sound is missing.

Just downloaded and have only been playing, but am totally impressed so far. I am an RN and Hispanic; I do speak some Spanish, but am not fully bilingual especially in medical Spanish. This has just about everything Im looking for and its FREE, only thing missing is surgical, procedural and lab/testing translation, but for being free, its enough to communicate with your Spanish speaking patients on a day to day basis. Would recommend!
